Research  and  Development  work  on a  large  scale is imperative not only  for a steady  progress  of  the  company  but   also  for  contributing  to the   national objective of  import substitution and self reliance. With this in view, the company has embarked on an ambitious programme of expansion of its Reasearch & Development activities.

R & D  laboratories   have   been  accorded   recognition  by  the Govt.  of  India, Department of  Science & Technology.  All the product  range have been  entirely developed in-house. 

AREAS OF RESEARCH

At Present, the company's  Research  and Development  Laboratories consists  of four main divisions devoted to,

i)  Pharmaceutics - Development  of allopathic as well as  herbal pharmaceutical formulations.

ii) Food Technology - Development of dietetic preparations.

iii) Fine Chemicals - Development of process Technology.

iv) Analytical Methods Development  -  Development   of   improved  analytical  methods to  evaluate above products.

v) Packaging Development  -  Development  of  improved    packaging for  food and pharmaceutical products.

The  research work  resulted in the publication of  15 papers in Indian and foreign journals, and the grants of 3 U.K and Indian patents.

 

 
DRCM Technology  

 

 

The  recent   recognition   of  biological  rhythm  has  bought in  a new  vista  of  treatment- chronotherapy. The principle of chronotherapy is based on controlling the  release  of drugs so that  they precisely  timed to enter the blood stream at adequate concentrations at a time when they are needed the most.

Raptakos,  Brett  &  Co.   Ltd  is   the  first  company  in India to introduce chronotherapeutic  formulations  with  the unique  state of the art - DRCM Technology( Diffusion Rate Controlling Membrane)

The Company undertakes the contract manufacturing of various drug formulations in controlled release pellets / capsules form using DRCM technolgy.
